1) Education
Schools throughout the Danville area are known to be highly ranked giving students the opportunity and materials necessary to continue to succeed with their education throughout college.
2) Easy Transportation
Transportation is very simple within the Danville community. Walking, biking, driving, and using Bart are all easy ways to get from place to place. The Iron Horse Trail is Danville’s biggest trail that stretches thirty-two miles and is an awesome trail that brings the community even more together.
3) Location
Danville is located six miles away from Walnut Creek and fourteen miles away from Oakland. These two cities offer numerous recreational activities, shopping outlets, restaurants, and more! One of the greatest things about living in Danville is that San Francisco is only twenty-three miles away. You can visit the famous Golden Gate Bridge, cable cars, and Victorian homes in minutes.
4) Lake Tahoe
Need something to do for the holidays or a weekend? Lake Tahoe is the place to be! It is approximately 179 miles away. During the summer you can enjoy a beautiful day out on the lake, or go for a hike with remarkable views. Lake Tahoe is a popular spot on the Fourth of July with a variety of fireworks and perfect boating weather. During the winter Tahoe has some of the world’s best mountains to ski and snowboard. The beautiful mountain has an altitude of 6,200 feet surrounded with Redwood trees.
5) Recreational activities
Danville has all sorts of activities! Tons of trails perfect for hiking and biking! Mt Diablo is a famous mountain with the most picturesque views. You can spend the day exploring the numerous biking hiking trails. Living in Danville where it is almost always great weather, you can take advantage of the variety of different swimming pools and even get those swim lessons you might be putting off.
6) Community Events
Have you ever been to the Danville Oak Tree? This tree is a staple in the Danville community and each year the day after Thanksgiving the community gathers around the 350-year-old Oak Tree during the Tree Lighting Ceremony. If history is more your thing, then check out the San Ramon Valley Museum that gives a historical background on how the valley came to be. Be sure to check out their calendar as they have certain exhibits, tours, and programs throughout. Weekly farmer markets allow for the community to get local produce.
7) Desirable Community
The Danville Oak Tree plays as a major symbol of the community known as the central point for communication within the town! The family-friendly community estimates of 40,000 residents and is known to be one of the best cities in Northern California!
9) Sports Teams
Sports fans! Do you like baseball, basketball, football, or hockey? Danville is close to them all! The San Francisco Giants play in San Francisco at the AT&T stadium. This ballpark location is beautiful giving an incredible scenic view of the San Francisco Bay. The San Francisco 49ers play at the beautiful new stadium in Santa Clara, Levi’ Stadium. Both the Oakland Athletics and Oakland Raiders conveniently play up the 580 in Oakland at the Oakland Alameda Coliseum. The recent NBA champs, the Golden State Warriors, play in Oakland at the Oracle Arena. If hockey is more your game, then you are not far from the San Jose Sharks who play in San Jose at the Sap Center.
